Kaley Jowers is a Senior Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. Jowers was the Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for Spring 2012. A Senior at UCF, she is majoring in English Literature with minors in Spanish and Nonprofit Management. She serves as Vice President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Collegiate Chapter and is a member of Students Against Slavery. Her research interests include human trafficking, human rights, international relations and women’s rights. Upon graduation, Jowers plans on joining the Peace Corps and afterward, studying public interest law or international human rights law. She is fluent in Spanish and has lived in Argentina.
Claire Sundstrom is a senior intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A senior at UCF, she is majoring in Advertising/Public Relations. She is currently a member of the UCF Advertising Club. Her research interests include human rights, human trafficking and international relations. Sundstrom speaks fluent French and is currently studying Spanish. She has traveled throughout Central and South America, and Europe.
Matthew Benchimol is an Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a Graduate Student in the Political Science M.A. Program, International Studies Track at the University of Central Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from UCF in Political Science with minors in History and Anthropology. He is in the Army ROTC program. Benchimol’s research interests include Diplomacy and the use of force in U.S. an U.S.-related military interventions. After serving in the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Office, he would eventually like to obtain a doctorate in Security Studies. Matthew speaks conversational French and has traveled to Aruba and Mexico.
Kelly Bronson is an Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Junior at the University of Central Florida majoring in International and Global Studies with minors in French and Economic Policy. She is an active member and Secretary of the United Nations Associated at UCF. In addition to her major, her research interests include nation building in the developing world and human trafficking. Bronson has conversational skills in French and has traveled to London.
Nathan Dualos is an Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a Senior at the University of Central Florida majoring in Political Science – Pre-Law Track with a minor in Legal Studies. He is the Professional Chair for Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. In addition to his major, his research interests are international security, terrorism studies and the Asia-Pacific region. After graduation, he plans to study International Relations in graduate school. He has traveled to Canada, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
High School Intern
Christine Davis is a high school intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at Dr. Phillips High School. There, she is a member of the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Chorus and the Tennis team. She is currently in her fourth year of learning French and speaks Portuguese fluently. She has traveled to Brazil, France, Italy and Spain. After high school, she plans on majoring in Engineering and study abroad in France.
Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow
Jenna Allen is the Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A Senior at UCF, she is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. Allen is a member of the United Nations Association of UCF and the treasurer of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre -Law Fraternity. Previously, at Florida Atlantic University, she was a member of Student Government. Her research interests include global economics, national security, environmental sustainability and political theology. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in international affairs with a focus in political economy. Allen is currently studying Italian.
