Andrea de la Camara
Andrea de la Camara is the Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A Senior at UCF, she is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Spanish. She also is a writer for Current International. Her research interests include Latin America and the Middle East. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations. She is fluent in Spanish, proficient in French and has traveled throughout Europe and South America.
Small Countries Fellow
Jenna Allen is the Isle of Man Small Countries Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A Senior at UCF, she is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. Allen is a member of the United Nations Association of UCF and the treasurer of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre -Law Fraternity. Previously, at Florida Atlantic University, she was a member of Student Government. Her research interests include global economics, national security, environmental sustainability and political theology. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in international affairs with a focus in political economy. Allen is currently studying Italian and Arabic.
Lucien Charland is the Diplomacy Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A Senior at UCF, he is double-majoring in International and Global Studies and Spanish, with a minor in Finance. He is a on the University Honors Committee, a National Scholars Mentor and a member of LEAD Scholars. His research interests include social media, social environmentalism, politics and history. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue graduate and law degrees. He is fluent in Spanish, has studied Latin and is currently studying Mandarin. Charland has traveled to Canada and Turkey, and throughout Europe and Latin America.
Nathan Dualos is the China-Taiwan Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office under the auspices of the C.T. and Jean Hsu Fund of the Global Connections Foundation. He is a Senior at the University of Central Florida majoring in Political Science – Pre-Law Track with a minor in Legal Studies. He is an active member of and the Professional Chair for Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. In addition to his major, his research interests are international security, terrorism studies and the Asia-Pacific region. After graduation, Nathan plans to study International Relations in graduate school. He has traveled to Canada, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Fellow
William George is the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office under the auspices of the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Program for Strategic Research and Studies at UCF. He is pursuing a graduate degree at UCF in Political Science-International Studies. As an undergraduate at UCF, he majored in History and minored in Political Science. George is a founding father of the Sigma Pi Fraternity, and is a member of Delta Epsilon Iota and the Academic Honor Society. His research interests include terrorism studies, security studies and political psychology. In the future, George would like to work in the intelligence community. His travels include Mexico, the Bahamas and Jamaica. He is studying Portuguese and has traveled to Brazil.
Salvio Illiano is the Alexandra Cousteau Environment and Global Climate Change Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A senior at UCF, he is double-majoring in International and Global Studies and French. He currently serves as president of the UCF chapter of the French National Honor Society. His research interests include Middle Eastern politics and foreign literature. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations. He has traveled to southern Europe and is fluent in Italian, French and Spanish and is currently studying Arabic.
Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow
Michelle Lucio is the Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A Junior at University of Central Florida, she is majoring in English literature, with a minor in Spanish. Lucio is a LEAD Scholar at UCF and planning on working with the UCF Chapter of International Justice Mission this semester. Her research interests include human rights initiatives, the developing world, Thai culture and theology. Upon graduation, she plans to return to Southeast Asia to pursue nonprofit work focused on the eradication of human trafficking. Lucio has traveled to Ecuador and Thailand.
