Rodriguez, Jessica

Jessica Rodriguez

Intern

Jessica Rodriguez is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She is the Secretary for the United Nations Association at UCF and a member of the International Relations Club and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars.  In addition to her major, Rodriguez’s research interests include Kurdish studies, minorities and immigrants, human rights, international law and the status of women in the Middle East. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue graduate studies in International Relations or Arab Studies with a joint degree in Foreign Service. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish and currently learning Arabic. She has traveled to Europe, South America and the Caribbean.

 
Rojas, Cindy

Cindy Rojas

Intern

Cindy Rojas is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in International and Global Studies with a minor in Diplomacy. Rojas is a on the Civic Engagement Committee with Volunteer UCF and a member of the International Relations Club. In addition to her major, she is interested in issues in less developed countries and women’s rights. Upon graduation, Rojas plans to pursue graduate studies in non-profit management.  She speaks Spanish and French, and has traveled to Colombia.

 
Winnop, Ashley

Ashley Winnop

Intern

Ashley Winnop is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in French.  Winnop is a member of the United Nations Association at UCF. In addition to her major, Winnop’s research interests include languages, history and international law. She plans to pursue graduate studies in journalism, peace studies or law. Winnop has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Jamaica, Mexico and Canada. She is fluent in French and Spanish.

 
Makalintal, Annie

Annie Makalintal

Intern

Annie Makalintal is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Senior at the University of Central Florida double majoring in English Literature and Psychology. She has served extensively as a research assistant in the Psychology Department, with a focus on human factors and organizational/industrial psychology. Some of Makalintal’s research interests include globalization, labor markets, international policies, human rights and Southeast Asian conflicts. After graduating, she plans to attend a law program specializing in international law. Makalintal speaks fluent Filipino (Tagalog) and conversational French, and is learning Arabic and German. She has traveled throughout the Middle East, Europe and the Philippines.
