Shattler, Kelly

Kelly Shattler

Intern

Kelly Shattler is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing degrees in Anthropology and Psychology, with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of Chi Omega fraternity and Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society. Her research interests include education, cross-cultural studies and socioeconomics. Upon graduation, Shattler plans on pursuing graduate studies in psychology. She is currently studying Spanish.

 
Wilder, Rachel

Rachel Wilder

High School Intern

Rachel Wilder is a high school intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at Legacy High School who is entering UCF in the fall of 2014. Then, she plans to double major in International Studies and Economics, with a minor in Spanish. Wilder is very involved in speech and debate, specializing in International Extemporaneous Speaking. Her research interests include India, Latin America and global economic development. Conversational in Spanish and a student of Hindi, Wilder has traveled to Mexico, Argentina, Peru, India and throughout Western Europe.

 
Ram, Christen

Christen Ram

Intern

Christen Ram is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a sophomore at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Diplomacy. She is a member of Honors Congress and Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society. Her research interests include diplomacy, human rights and terrorism studies. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies in international relations. A student of Spanish, Ram has lived in Guyana and traveled throughout the Caribbean and Western Europe.

 
Joseph, Marcul

Marcul Joseph

Intern

Marcul Joseph is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Political Science – International Relations and Comparative Politics, with minors in French and Legal Studies and a certificate in Diplomacy. Joseph is the Vice President of Pi Delta Phi, the National French Honor Society at UCF. His research interests include democracy in Africa, human trafficking and diplomacy in the Middle East. Upon graduation, he plans on attending law school. A native of Haiti, Joseph is fluent in Haitian Créole and French, conversational in Spanish and is currently studying Arabic. He has traveled throughout North America, including the Caribbean.

 
Brown, Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn Brown

Intern

Kaitlyn Brown is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing degrees in Political Science and Anthropology, with a minor in Aerospace Studies. She is a student in The Burnett Honors College and Lead Scholars program, as well as a member of the Air Force ROTC program. Her research interests include international relations, human rights and history. Upon graduation, she plans on serving in the Air Force while pursuing graduate education. Brown is currently studying Spanish.

 
Berrios, Melissa

Melissa Berrios

Intern

Melissa Berrios is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a sophomore at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in European Studies. Her research interests include cultural policy, language and comparative politics. Upon graduation, Berrios plans to pursue graduate studies and the Foreign Service. Fluent in Spanish and French and a student of Portuguese, she has traveled to every continent.
