Ariana Welsh

High School Intern

Ariana Welsh is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a homeschooled senior dual enrolling at Daytona State College. Her research interests include democracy in Central and South Asian countries, human rights development and Asian cultures. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing an internship at Liberty in North Korea and double majoring in international relations and astrobiology. A student of Korean and American Sign Language, Welsh plans to travel to South Korea, Japan, Thailand and other countries in Asia.

 
Welch, Natalie

Natalie Welch

Intern

Natalie Welch is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in International and Global Studies with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of the UCF Italian Club. Her research interests include feminism, comparative politics and European affairs. Upon graduation she plans on pursuing a master’s degree and a career with the Foreign Service. A student of Spanish and Italian, Welch has traveled to Italy, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Spain and France.

 
Simioni, Sophia

Sophia Simioni

Intern

Sophia Simioni is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Diplomacy. She is a member of Sigma Phi Lambda. Her research interests include Western Europe and Middle Eastern politics. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a career with the State Department. A student of Spanish, Simioni has traveled to Poland, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

 
Mehta, Devyani

Devyani Mehta

Intern

Devyani Mehta is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida (UCF) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in economics. She is a member of United Nations Association and was the president of Valencia West chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society before transferring to UCF. Her research interests include terrorism studies, global economic development and comparative political studies of countries around the world. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies. A native speaker of Hindi, Gujarati and a student of Spanish and French, Mehta has traveled to India, France, Malaysia, Thailand and the Bahamas.
