Mayer, Amanda

Amanda Mayer

Intern

Amanda Mayer is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a double major in Political Science and International and Global Studies, with a minor in Diplomacy. She is a student of The Burnett Honors College and a member of the International Relations Club. Her research interests include global nuclear issues, national elections and transitioning governments in Central and South America. Upon graduation, she plans to serve overseas as a Peace Corps volunteer. A student of Spanish, Mayer has traveled to Nicaragua and throughout Italy. She will begin studying Arabic language in the fall, and plans to eventually pursue a career with the State Department.

 
Minnick, Alexandra

Alexandra Minnick

Intern

Alexandra Minnick is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a graduate student at the University of Central Florida pursuing an M.A. degree in Applied Learning and Instruction with graduate certificates in Gender Studies and Community College Education. She is a member of Knight Advocates and Project HEAL Central Florida Chapter. Her research interests include human trafficking and sex education. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work. A student of German and Spanish, Minnick has traveled to Germany and the Bahamas.

 
Romeus, Hadassa B.

Hadassa B. Romeus

Intern

Hadassa Bianka Romeus is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida (UCF) pursuing two B.A. degrees in Political Science/Pre-law and Writing and Rhetoric, with a minor in Psychology. She is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the international Pre-Law academic fraternity and Pi Epsilon Pi, the writing honor society chapter at UCF. Her research interests include foreign aid in countries of conflict, human trafficking and human rights violations of peacekeeping missions in underdeveloped countries. Upon graduation, she plans on attending law school. A speaker of English, French and Kreyol, Romeus has traveled Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Canada.

 
Vasquez, Virginia

Virginia Vasquez

Intern

Virginia Vasquez is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior in The Burnett Honors College at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Creative Writing, with a minor in French. She is Vice President of Latin Rhythm and volunteers with the HERO program. Her research interests include globalization, human rights and sociology. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies. A native speaker of Spanish and a student of French, Vasquez has traveled to Canada, France, Spain and Chile.

 
Yeargain, Tyler

Tyler Yeargain

Intern

Tyler Yeargain is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida (UCF) pursuing a B.A. degree in Political Science/Prelaw. He recently served as a College of Sciences senator for the UCF Student Government Association and has interned for several political campaigns in Florida. His research interests include Central Asia, Eastern Europe and comparative judicial process. Upon graduation, he plans on working on a major campaign and eventually pursuing law school. A student of Russian and Spanish, Yeargain has traveled to the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.

 
Jayapregasham, Sambath

Sambath Jayapregasham

High School Intern

Sambath Jayapregasham is a high school intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a rising senior at Seminole High School and will be completing his senior year in Germany as a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholar. He is the past president of the German Honor Society and member of the DoSomething Club at Seminole High. His research interests include economic development and the impact of globalization on tribal societies. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a dual degree in Economics and International Relations. A student of German, Spanish, Tamil and French, Jayapregasham has traveled to Tanzania, Peru, Singapore and Western Europe.

 
Ninno, Madeline

Madeline Ninno

High School Intern

Madeline Ninno is a high school intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a rising senior at Paul J. Hagerty High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Hagerty Debate Team. Her research interests include Latin America, global health and global climate change. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing degrees in political science and international affairs. A student of Spanish, Ninno has traveled throughout Europe.
