Mumtaz, Hania

Hania Mumtaz

Lawrence J. Chastang Fellow

Hania Mumtaz was the Lawrence J. Chastang Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Diplomacy. She is a member of the pre-med American Medical Student Association and was previously a UCF Surgical Intern with the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences. Her research interests include the effects of globalization on the pharmaceutical industries of developing nations as well as the relation between globalization and loss of cultural diversity. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in medicine and international relations. A student of Urdu, Mumtaz has traveled across Europe and Asia, including places like Morocco, Turkey and Pakistan.

 

 
Rodriguez, Erick

Erick Rodriguez

Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow

Erick Raul Rodriguez was the Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing degrees in Political Science and International and Global Studies, with a minor in Diplomacy. He is a member of the Burnett Honors College and Treasurer of the Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. His research interests include counterterrorism, cyberwarfare and international law. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a Juris Doctor degree after completing law school. A student of Spanish, Rodriguez has traveled to Canada and throughout Europe and the Caribbean.

 

 
Fulk, Alanna

Alanna Fulk

Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow

Alanna Fulk was the Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing degrees in Technical Communication and Spanish, with minors in Political Science and Diplomacy. She is a member of the Burnett Honors College and a research assistant in the UCF Department of Political Science. Her research interests include terrorism, national security and Latin American politics. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate school and a career in national security. A student of Spanish, Fulk has traveled to England, Ireland, Spain and Canada.

 

 
Hoffman, Logan

Logan Hoffman

Isle of Man Small Countries Fellow

Logan Hoffman was the Isle of Man Small Countries Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Political Science, with minors in Computer Science, Statistics and Economics. He is student of The Burnett Honors College and LEAD Scholars. His research interests include security studies and the Middle East. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing graduate school. A student of Arabic and Spanish, Hoffman has traveled to Canada and Nicaragua.

 
Suleiman, Rima

Rima Suleiman

Diplomacy Fellow

Rima Suleiman was the Diplomacy Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Psychology with minors in both Political Science and English. She is a member of the Student Government Association as a Justice on the Judicial Branch and is a lab director within the transportation research lab for the Applied Experimental/Human Factors Ph.D. program. Her research interests include diplomacy, human rights and Middle Eastern Studies. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a degree in International Law or International Affairs. A student of Arabic and French, Suleiman has traveled throughout Europe and the Middle East.

 
Lanza, Grayson

Grayson Lanza

China-Taiwan Fellow

Grayson Lanza was the China-Taiwan Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science. He is a member of the United Nations Association at UCF and the Burnett Honors College. His research interests include international affairs and diplomacy. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a career within the U.S. Department of State. A student of Chinese, Lanza has traveled to China, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and the UK.

 
Warshofsky, Mia

Mia Warshofsky

Alexandra Cousteau Environment and Global Climate Change Fellow

Mia Rachel Warshofsky was the Alexandra Cousteau Environmental and Global Climate Change Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior in the Burnett Honors College at the University of Central Florida pursuing undergraduate degrees in International and Global Studies and Spanish. She is a member of the Jewish Voice for Peace Student Network and a volunteer with Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. Her research interests include climate justice, linguistics and culinary arts. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a degree in Peace Studies with a concentration in the interconnectivity of solidarity movements. Mia has studied Spanish, Hebrew and Yiddish and aspires to learn Xhosa next. She has travelled to Great Britain, China and Brazil.
