Brian Marte is a Summer 2017 Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a certificate in Diplomacy and a minor in Intelligence and National Security. His interests include American foreign and domestic policy, Middle Eastern politics and American-Russian relations. Upon graduation, he plans to attend law school and pursue a career in the Intelligence field or diplomatic arena. Marte has traveled throughout Central America, the Caribbean, France and Italy.
Erin Reedy is a Summer 2017 Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science with minors in Economics and Intelligence and National Security. She is a member of The Burnett Honors College and the International Relations Club. Her research interests include human rights, former Soviet states and the impacts of globalization on developing countries. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue graduate studies and working for the U.S. Department of State. A student of Arabic, Reedy has traveled to throughout Europe.
Savannah Steffensen is a Summer 2017 Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in International and Global Studies with a minor in Asian Studies. She is a member of the International Relations Club and the United Nations Association. Her research interests include East Asian human rights policy and North and South Korean relations. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies or human rights field work. A student of French, Steffensen has traveled to multiple areas in Europe and North America.
High School Intern
Kevin Wang is a Summer 2017 High School Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a rising senior at Trinity Preparatory School. He is the Opinions Editor of The Trinity Voice, the school’s newspaper, as well as an active member of the Spanish Honor Society. His research interests include the rise of modern China, Sino-U.S. relations and the global economy. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing degrees in International Business and International Studies. A student of Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, Wang has traveled to China, Japan, Singapore and Spain.
