Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellowship
The Global Perspectives Office at UCF and the Global Connections Foundation will provide an opportunity for an outstanding UCF student, undergraduate (at least junior level) or graduate, to serve as a Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellow.
The selected student will conduct a research project related to diplomacy studies, under the direction of Global Perspectives Office staff, with the aim of producing a final paper that is worthy of publication. Fellows are provided a research space in a globally oriented environment that encourages educational and professional development. The fellowship aims to enrich the student’s academic credentials, providing an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of diplomacy through the student’s independent research.
The Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellow will receive $500.00 for the semester. All financial aid rules and regulations apply.* Students aspiring to become Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellows should have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be actively enrolled in courses for the semester in which they are selected as a fellow. A board of reviewers drawn from UCF and the community will evaluate applications and make selections. A one-page cover letter, a 5-10 page writing sample, an unofficial transcript and a resume with two listed references are required.
