Middle Eastern Studies Program

The Middle Eastern Studies Program at the University of Central Florida is jointly housed by the Global Perspectives Office and the College of Arts and Humanities. It is overseen by three co-chairs, John C. Bersia, Global Perspectives Office, Janan Smither, Department of Psychology and Hakan Özoglu, Department of History. They also coordinate an advisory board that helps provide direction. The program includes a Middle Eastern Studies Minor directed by Hakan Özoglu, and co-curricular activities that are organized primarily by the Global Perspectives Office, the Global Connections Foundation and other partners.
