The mission of the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives (GPII) is to sharpen the university’s international focus. Since 2001, when UCF President John C. Hitt established the office, we have been connecting the campus and Central Florida community to global cultures, ideas and information – boosting UCF’s international profile and creating opportunities for students and faculty.
Working with local, national, and international partners, we sponsor lectures, conferences, and other activities that foster collaborative programing, research, and exchanges. GPII establishes and incubates university-wide programs that increase UCF’s access to global content. GPII-supported programs and centers work to highlight key global issues and strategically important regions.
