Dimple Mirchandani is a rising senior at the George Washington University in Washington D.C. She is majoring in International Affairs, with a concentration in International Economics. She is the President of GW Ahimsa Community Service Organization and a Member of Phi Alpha Delta Professional Law Fraternity International. Previously, she was a research assistant in the Economics Department at GW and interned at the U.S. Department of Commerce – International Trade Administration. Her research interests include: international relations, development and economics. In the future, she plans to attend law school. Born in Mumbai, India, and a resident of Orlando, she is fluent in Hindi and Sindhi, and proficient in Spanish. She has traveled throughout North America, Asia and the Caribbean.
Richard Haddock is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, he is majoring in Political Science-International Relations and Comparative Politics, and minoring in Asian studies. He is a member of LEAD Scholars, United Nations Association, President’s Scholars and the Burnett Honors College. His research interests include rising powers, Asian studies, world history, comparative politics and international relations. Haddock plans on post-graduate studies in either global politics or international law. He is fluent in Spanish and has traveled to Puerto Rico.
William George is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. As an undergraduate student at UCF, he majored in History and minored in Political Science. He is pursuing a graduate degree at UCF in Political Science-International Studies. George is a founding father of the Sigma Pi Fraternity, and is a member of Delta Epsilon Iota and the Academic Honor Society. His research interests include terrorism studies, security studies and collective security. In the future, William would like to work for the U.S. State Department. His travels include Mexico, the Bahamas and Jamaica. He is learning Portuguese, and plans on traveling to Brazil in December 2012.
Michael Peter Burzynski
Michael Peter Burzynski is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A recipient of a B.A. in Political Science-International Relations, with a minor in Pre-Medicine, from UCF in 2012, he intends to pursue professional education in medicine. His research interests include global finance (including scandals) and global health; he previously interned with a Filipino public health-related organization, The Asia America Initiative, in Washington, D.C. He is proficient in French and Polish, and has travelled extensively in Europe.
Mollie Adam is an intern for the Global Perspectives Office. A junior at UCF, she is majoring in Political Science, with a Pre-Law track. She is also working towards obtaining minors in English Writing and Judaic Studies. She is an active member of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority and the Honors College. Her research interests include Middle East politics, human rights and International Law. Adam has traveled throughout Israel and speaks conversational Hebrew. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a degree in law.
Global Connections Scholar
Timothy Hill is a Global Connections Scholar for the Global Perspectives Office, the Diplomacy Program, the Terrorism Studies Program and affiliated organizations, including the Global Connections Foundation. A recent graduate of UCF, he served as an Intern and Senior Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. Hill majored in Political Science, with a minor in International and Global Studies. He is a member of the National Political Science Honor Society. Hill’s research interests include terrorism/counter-terrorism studies and international relations. He plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations. Hill is studying Arabic.
