Wolszczak, AnnaClare

AnnaClare Wolszczak

High School Intern

AnnaClare Wolszczak is a Summer 2018 High School Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a rising senior at Bishop Moore Catholic High School. She is on the debate team and is a member of Bishop Moore’s Leadership Team and a school ambassador association. Her research interests include women’s rights, foreign policy and international law. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a degree in English and attending law school. A student of Latin, Wolszczak has traveled to Italy, England, Greece, Spain and France.

 
Geer, Priya

Priya Geer

Intern

Priya Geer is a Summer 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration. She is a member of the Pre-Professional Medical Society and a part of the 3+3 Accelerated Bachelor’s/J.D Program. Her research interests include Diplomacy, the Environment and Peace Studies. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing Environmental or International law. A student of Spanish, Geer has traveled to Italy, France, Spain, England and throughout the Caribbean.

Brittany Pagano

Intern

Brittany Pagano is a Summer 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Public Administration, with a minor in Urban and Regional Planning. She is a member of the Burnett Honors College and a LEAD scholar. Her research interests include Latin America and sustainable development. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a graduate degree in Earth and Energy Resources.

 
Atkins, Michael

Michael Atkins

Intern

Michael is a Summer 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a sophomore at the University of Central Florida pursuing undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Film. He is a member of the UCF Improv Academy and the International Relations Club. His research interests include asymmetric conflicts between states, terrorism and the politics of Europe. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a job in his career field.

 
Almendarez, Ely

Ely Almendarez

Intern

Ely Almendarez is a Summer 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Intelligence and National Security. She is a member of the International Relations Club and the Public Relations Director of Volunteer UCF. Her research interests include Eastern Europe, international politics and the Middle East. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in the intelligence community after serving in the U.S. Navy. A student of Italian, Almendarez is fluent in English and Spanish and has traveled throughout the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America.

 
Suvannasankha, Emily

Emily Suvannasankha

Intern

Emily Suvannasankha is a Summer 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English – Technical Communication, with a minor in Asian Studies. She is president of the Japanese Culture Club and a member of the Burnett Honors College. Her research interests include Asian cultural relations, space politics and globalization. Upon graduation, she plans on returning to Japan to pursue language studies. A student of Japanese and Korean, Suvannasankha has traveled to several areas in Japan and studied abroad for a semester at a university near Tokyo.

 
Aurazo, Karla

Karla Aurazo

Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow

Karla Aurazo is the Summer 2018 Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Political Science Degree on the International Relations track. She is a member of the Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence at UCF and serves as a member of the Relief Society. Her research interests include trafficking in persons in Central Asia, trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation, forced labor, organ selling and other violations to human rights. She is dedicated to the abolitionist movement against modern-day slavery. Aurazo is also a former intern with the U.S. Department of State in Barcelona, Spain. Upon graduation she plans on pursuing a career in foreign affairs. A student of Spanish, French and Russian, Aurazo has traveled within Europe and the Americas.
