Biography

Cierra Walker is the Fall 2021 Puerto Rico Research Hub and HTMS Center Intern for the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives. She is a junior at The University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Global Studies, with a minor in Diplomacy and Asian Studies. Walker is a member of the Knights and Damsels Dance Company. Her research interests include East Asia & US relations, human trafficking, and contemporary human rights. Upon graduation, she plans on moving abroad to teach English and later work as a diplomat for the State Department. A student of English and French, Walker has traveled to Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the UK, Scotland, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Haiti, and St. Maarten.
