Biography
Farah Mara Shah is the Spring 2025 Conflict Transformation Fellow for the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science on a Comparative Politics and International Relations track, with a minor in Terrorism Studies, Journalism Studies, and Intelligence and National Security. Shah is an active member of Florida People Power and Representative Anna Eskamani’s 2024 Election Cycle Team. Her research interests include patterns in the manifestations of political violence, terrorism from a humanitarian perspective, and the impacts of long-lasting conflict on impacted and vulnerable populations. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a Masters degree related to her fields of interest. A student of Spanish and English, Shah lived abroad in Tanzania until her first year of high school.
