Valentina Sierra-Iszler is the Fall 2021 Security Studies Intern for the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Global and International Studies, with a minor in Diversity and Social Inequalities. Her research interests include international relations, human rights, and cultural/religion globalizations. Upon graduation, she plans to join the peace corps to then pursue a career with the US State Department as a diplomat. A student of Spanish, and currently learning French. Ms. Sierra-Iszler originally is from Colombia and has traveled throughout Europe and the Americas. She hopes to visit the Eastern Hemisphere soon.
