Stewart, Maxwell

Maxwell Stewart

Intern

Maxwell Stewart is a Fall 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is an active member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, serving on multiple committees. His research interests include political theory, globalization and politics of the Middle East and Asia. Upon graduation he plans to pursue a graduate degree in Political Science.

 
Murillo, Michelle

Michelle Murillo

Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow

Michelle Murillo is the Fall 2018 Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Cognitive Sciences and a Criminal Profiling Certificate. She is a member of the Philosophical Society and a part of the Global Leadership Program at the LEAD Scholars Academy. Her research interests include trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation and organ removal, meta-ethics and international policy reform on judicial punishment. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A student of Spanish, Murillo has traveled throughout America.

 
Yerby, Nathaniel

Nathaniel Yerby

European Studies Fellow

Nathaniel Yerby is the inaugural European Studies Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Public Administration, with minors in History and Intelligence and National Security. He is a member of The Burnett Honors College. His research interests include the politics of Europe and Far East Asia. Upon graduation, he plans to either attend law school or go abroad to teach English as a foreign language. A student of Spanish and French, Yerby has traveled to the United Kingdom, Canada, Iceland and Nicaragua, and he has studied abroad in Spain.

 
Pierres, Renzo

Renzo Pierres

Stephen Sloan Terrorism Studies Fellow

Renzo Pierres is the Fall 2018 Stephen Sloan Terrorism Studies Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in the International Relations track of Political Science with a Diplomacy Certificate. His research interests include civil war and counterinsurgency. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a graduate degree in political science. Renzo is fluent in both English and Spanish, with some proficiency in French, and has traveled to over 10 different countries. Pierres loves reading and listening to podcasts, mostly historical, as well as meeting people with different cultures and upbringings.

Terriana West

Intern

Terriana West is a Fall 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in International and Global Studies with a minor in Global Peace and Security. She is a member of the Caribbean Student Association and is a general member in Contemporary A Cappella. Her research interests include women’s rights, American foreign policy and human rights. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies abroad. A student of Spanish, West has traveled within North America and the Caribbean.
