Geer, Priya

Priya Geer

Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellow

Priya Geer is the Fall 2018 Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Health Services Administration.  She is a member of the Pre-Professional Medical Society and a part of the 3+3 Accelerated Bachelor’s/J.D. Program. Her research interests include Diplomacy, the Environment and Peace Studies. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing Environmental or International law. Geer has traveled to Italy, France, Spain, England and throughout the Caribbean.

 
Mapp, Danielle

Danielle Mapp

Intern

Danielle Mapp is a Fall 2018 intern for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Sciences, with a minor in Health Services Administration. She is a member of the Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students, the National Council of Negro Women and the LEAD Scholars Academy. Her research interests include environmental issues and public health. Upon graduation, she plans on attending medical school. She is studying Brazilian Portuguese and has traveled throughout the Caribbean and Pacific Islands.

 
Callahan, David

David Callahan

Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow

David Callahan is the Fall 2018 Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science, focusing on International Relations, with two minors in Middle Eastern and Terrorism Studies. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the Philosophy Society and the International Relations Club, as well as a student of The Burnett Honors College. His research interests include the overlap between religious cults and terror groups, the development of the modern Middle East and the impact of Islam on Middle Eastern society. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a career within the Department of State.

 
Chung, Alexander

Alexander Chung

Public Relations Intern

Alexander Chung is the Fall 2018 Public Relations Intern for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a senior at University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations. His research interests include social media methods, art history and music theory. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a career in advertising and market research. A student of Spanish, Chung has traveled to South America and plans on visiting Iceland.

 
Edwards, Aldyn

Aldyn Edwards

India Fellow

Aldyn Edwards is the Fall 2018 India Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Intelligence and National Security. She is involved with the Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence here at UCF. Her research interests include diplomacy, U.S. intelligence and national security. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies in Political Science. Edwards is proficient in American Sign Language. She has traveled extensively throughout the United States, and internationally to Canada and Mexico.

 
Heinbockel, John

John Heinbockel

Nelson Mandela African Affairs Fellow

John L. Heinbockel is the Fall 2018 Nelson Mandela fellow for African Affairs for the Global Perspectives Office. He is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursing a degree in International and Global Studies with a minor in Economics. He is a member of the Center for Global Economic and Environmental Opportunity. His research interests include diplomacy and global sustainability. Upon graduation he plans on pursuing a career in civil service with the State Department. A student of Spanish and French, Heinbockel has traveled to Ethiopia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

 
Wenninghoff, Makenzie

Makenzie Wenninghoff

Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellow

Makenzie Wenninghoff is the Fall 2018 Lawrence J. Chastang Global Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Non-profit Management. She is a member of The Burnett Honors College and is the president of Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority. Her research interests include health, education and women’s rights.  Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a Master’s in Global Public Health and a JD through a joint degree program. A student of Spanish, Wenninghoff has traveled to Mexico, Nicaragua and Switzerland.
