Miller, Kaitlin

Kaitlin Miller

India Fellow

Kaitlin Miller is the Spring 2019 India Fellow for Global Perspectives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, with a minor in Leadership Studies. She is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society and the UCF Student Conduct Board. Her research interests include diplomacy, political theory, and terror groups. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a Masters in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs. Miller has traveled extensively throughout the United States.

 
Masri, Jasmine

Jasmine Masri

Intern, Africa

Jasmine Masri is a Spring 2019 intern for Global Perspectives. She is a sophomore at the University of Central Florida pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Legal Studies. She is a member of the Burnett Honors College and the LEAD Scholars Academy. Her research interests include human rights, international law, and politics of the Middle East. Upon graduation, she plans on attending law school. A student of Arabic, Masri has traveled to Lebanon and throughout Europe.

 
Giltner, Benjamin

Benjamin Giltner

Intern, Europe including Russia

Benjamin Giltner is a Spring 2019 intern for Global Perspectives. He is a sophomore at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies with two minors in Russian Studies and Global Peace and Security Studies. He is a member of Russian Club, LEAD Scholars Academy, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. His research interests include Diplomacy, Europe, and Global Peace and Security. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a career with the US Department of State and the US Intelligence Community. A student of Russian and Spanish, Giltner has traveled to the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

 
Chaaban, Miriam

Miriam Chaaban

Intern, Central and South America

Miriam Chaaban is a Spring 2019 intern for Global Perspectives. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a B.A. degree in International and Global Studies, with the intention of achieving a minor in Diplomacy. She is an active member of the Muslim Student Association and intends on joining the United Nations Association. Her research interests include International Relations, Middle Eastern studies, and Comparative Politics. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a job at an embassy or working for the United Nations. Born and raised in Florida, Chaaban has always tried to stay close to her Palestinian roots and tries to visit family overseas every few years. She is fluent in Arabic and speaks some Spanish. Chaaban has traveled to Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and parts of Europe.

 
Heinbockel, John

John Heinbockel

Alexandra Cousteau Environment and Global Climate Change Fellow

John Heinbockel is the Spring 2019 Alexandra Cousteau Environmental and Global Climate Change Fellow for Global Perspectives. He is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a degree in International and Global Studies with a minor in World Comparative Studies. His research interests include global development and climate change. Upon graduation, he plans on pursuing a graduate degree. A student of English, Heinbockel has traveled to Western Europe and Ethiopia.

 
Edwards, Aldyn

Aldyn Edwards

Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellow

Aldyn Edwards is the Spring 2019 Lester N. Mandell Diplomacy Fellow for Global Perspectives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in Intelligence and National Security. She is involved with the Global Leadership program here at UCF and was the Global Perspectives India Fellow in Fall 2018. Her research interests include diplomacy, U.S. intelligence, and national security. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing graduate studies in Political Science. Aldyn is proficient in American Sign Language, and has travelled extensively throughout the United States, with travel to Canada and Mexico.

 
Garcia, Nalani

Nalani Garcia

Isle of Man Small Countries Fellow

Nalani Garcia is the Spring 2019 Isle of Man Small Countries Program Fellow for Global Perspectives. She is a junior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies, with minors in Latin American Studies and Intelligence and National Security. She is a member of the Burnett Honors College and is the secretary of the Club on Security and Intelligence. Her research interests include Latin America and international relations. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in intelligence. A student of Spanish, Garcia has traveled to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica.
