Aditi Dubey

High School Intern, Asia

Aditi Dubey is a Summer 2019 high school intern for the Office of Global Perspectives. She is currently a rising senior enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program at Seminole High School. She is a member of The Science National Honors Society and Business Professionals of America at her high school. Her research interests include terrorism, diplomacy and global peace. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing patent law.

Athalya "Lee" Ajisafe

High School Intern, Africa

Lee Ajisafe is a Summer 2019 high school intern for the Office of Global Perspectives. Ajisafe is a rising senior at University High School, and a member of UNICEF club and the International Baccalaureate organization. Research interests include diplomacy and Sub-Saharan Africa. Upon graduation, Ajisafe plans on pursuing a degree in political science or law.

 
Moya, Paula

Paula Moya

Intern, Central and South America

Paula Moya is a Summer 2019 intern for the Office of Global Perspectives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies, with minors in Latin American Studies and Diversity and Social Inequality and a certificate in Intelligence and National Security. She is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha. Her research interests include Latin America, the global economy and human trafficking. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a career in the Department of State. A native Spanish speaker and student of French, Moya has traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Colombia, the Caribbean, Europe and Israel.

 
Jaayfer, Oumaima

Oumaima Jaayfer

Intern, Environment and Global Climate Change

Oumaima Jaayfer is a Summer 2019 intern for the Office of Global Perspectives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a B.A degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. She is a student of the Burnett’s Honors College and is writing her undergraduate thesis on welfare policy analysis. Her research interests include Comparative Politics, International Relations and Political Theory. Upon graduation, she plans on pursuing a graduate degree in Political Science. Born in Morocco, Jaayfer is fluent in Arabic and proficient in French.

 
Anderson, Christina

Christina Anderson

Intern, Europe

Christina Anderson is a Summer 2019 intern for the Office of Global Perspectives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Political Science. She is a member of the John T. Washington Honor’s Society and the philanthropy chair for the National Black Law Student’s Association. Her research interests include human trafficking, terrorism and the sociology of deviant behavior. Upon graduation, she plans on attending law school. A student of Spanish, Christina has traveled to the Dominican Republic and wishes to extend her travel experiences to more Spanish-speaking countries in the future.

 
Rister, Alex

Alex Rister

Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow

Alex Rister is the Summer 2019 Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for the Office of Global Perspectives. She is a graduate student at the University of Central Florida pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Texts and Technology with a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies. She is a member of the Junior League of Greater Orlando where her volunteer work focuses on human trafficking awareness. Rister’s research interests include human trafficking awareness as well as activism and social justice. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a tenure track faculty position. Rister has traveled throughout Europe.
