GPII invites you to an engaging presentation by Dr. José Lee-Borges exploring the history and cultural presence of the Chinese community in Puerto Rico since the nineteeth century. The talk will examine the origins, settlement patterns, and social, economic, and cultural contributions of the Chinese communities on the island, highlighting their lasting impact on Puerto Rican society. Dr. Borges will also address how much of this history remains largely unknown, offering valuable insight into an often overlooked aspect of Puerto Rico’s multicultural identity.
