The UCF Office of Global Perspectives & International Initiatives (GPII), in partnership with Global Peace 360, invites you to a screening of the documentary Memories From Ground Zero, presented as part of the Global Peace Film Festival 2026.
Memories From Ground Zero centers on the powerful and deeply personal recollections of survivors of 9/11, offering a moving and intimate look at memory, loss, and resilience in the aftermath of tragedy. A discussion will follow the screening, featuring director Rory Duffy, who will reflect on the making of the film and the stories of the survivors featured in it. Rory Duffy is an award-winning filmmaker and historian with degrees in both film and history. His work includes A Fragile Peace: Inside Brexit and Belfast, Memories From Ground Zero, and The Bench. He has worked with directors Hal Hartley and Amy Sherman-Palladino and has appeared in Blue Bloods, Law & Order: SVU, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Rory is also an adjunct professor of American history at the City College of New York. |
