Biography

Alyssa Noemi Perez is the Spring 2026 Puerto Rico Research Hub Intern for the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, with a background in coding and finance. Perez is a member of the Puerto Rican Student Association and is returning from a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Her research interests include international and global studies, intercultural communications, and global sociology. Upon graduation she plans on pursuing work in/involving Puerto Rican related issues through economic and social initiatives. Growing up in Miami, Florida, Perez has traveled throughout the Caribbean, Croatia, Spain, Canada, Mexico, and Italy.
