Biography

Dr. Zeynep Arda is a Graphic/Interaction Designer, Senior Researcher, and Associate Professor of Communication Sciences. Currently Chief Creative of ZADS, she undertakes design projects and digital communication campaigns across Istanbul, Orlando, and Valencia. She served as Associate Professor and Department Chair (2014-2022) at the Visual Communication Design Department of Izmir University of Economics. She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from Universidad Jaume I, Spain, an MA in Interaction Design from Domus Academy, Italy, and an MFA in Graphic Design from Bilkent University, Turkey. Her EU Horizon 2020-funded research explored art, identity, and migration, while her broader interests span virtual worlds, AI, visual representation, and cultural diversity. She has collaborated professionally with international teams and brands and served as a visiting scholar at the University of Central Florida (2022-23).
