Biography
Farah Mara Shah is the Fall 2024 MENA Intern for the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science on a Comparative Politics and International Relations Track, with a double minor in Journalism Studies and Terrorism Studies. Shah is an active member of Florida Student Pow and is a current intern for House District 42 Representative Anna Eskamani. Her research interests include terrorism from a humanitarian perspective, patterns in the manifestations of political violence, and investigative journalism. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a masters related to her fields of interest. A student of Spanish and English, Shah has lived and traveled in the East African region and writes for various literary magazines on campus.
