Biography

Susana El Souki El Assal is the Spring 2026 M.E.N.A. (Middle East/North Africa) Intern for the Office of Global Perspectives and International Initiatives. She is a senior at the University of Central of Florida pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in International & Global Studies on a Pre-Law Track. El Souki is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement, and an honors student at the Burnett Honors College at the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include human rights violations, the study of terrorism in the Middle East, and dictatorships in Latin America. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue law school with a focus on human rights and wants to work for a world organization. A student of Spanish, English, Arabic, and learning French, El Souki has traveled throughout the US, Lebanon, France, Dubai, Spain, Portugal, Panama, Colombia, and Canada.
