Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Fellow
William George is the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office under the auspices of the Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Program for Strategic Research and Studies at UCF. He is pursuing a graduate degree at UCF in Political Science-International Studies. As an undergraduate at UCF, he majored in History and minored in Political Science. George is a founding father of the Sigma Pi Fraternity, and is a member of Delta Epsilon Iota and the Academic Honor Society. His research interests include terrorism studies, security studies and political psychology. In the future, George would like to work in the intelligence community. His travels include Mexico, the Bahamas and Jamaica. He is studying Portuguese and has traveled to Brazil.
Salvio Illiano is the Alexandra Cousteau Environment and Global Climate Change Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A senior at UCF, he is double-majoring in International and Global Studies and French. He currently serves as president of the UCF chapter of the French National Honor Society. His research interests include Middle Eastern politics and foreign literature. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in international relations. He has traveled to southern Europe and is fluent in Italian, French and Spanish and is currently studying Arabic.
Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow
Michelle Lucio is the Francis Bok Human Trafficking Awareness Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A Junior at University of Central Florida, she is majoring in English literature, with a minor in Spanish. Lucio is a LEAD Scholar at UCF and planning on working with the UCF Chapter of International Justice Mission this semester. Her research interests include human rights initiatives, the developing world, Thai culture and theology. Upon graduation, she plans to return to Southeast Asia to pursue nonprofit work focused on the eradication of human trafficking. Lucio has traveled to Ecuador and Thailand.
Global Connections International Law Fellow
Claire Sundstrom is the Global Connections International Law Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. A senior at UCF, she is majoring in Advertising/Public Relations. She is currently a member of the UCF Advertising Club. Her research interests include human rights, human trafficking and international relations. Sundstrom speaks fluent French and is currently studying Spanish. She has traveled throughout Central and South America and Europe. She plans on attending law school in the fall.
Branden Wyatt is the India Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office under the auspices of The India Center. A Senior at the University of Central Florida, he is majoring in International and Global Studies, with a minor in Asian Studies. He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and an active participant of intramural sports. His research interests include Russian, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. Upon graduation, he plans to pursue graduate degree in in International Affairs. He has studied Russian, Spanish and Chinese. Wyatt has traveled to Russia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Global Peace Fellow
Vanessa Zabala is the Sibille H. Pritchard Global Peace Fellow for the Global Perspectives Office. She is a Senior at the University of Central Florida pursuing a B.A. in International and Global Studies with a minor in Economics. Zabala is a UCF Water Polo player and a member of the United Nations Association. Previously, she interned for the Department of State in the Economic and Political section of the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile. Zabala is very interested in economic development. As a Native Venezuelan, she speaks fluent Spanish and conversational French. Zabala has traveled throughout Europe, the Western Hemisphere and India.
